Published labour data, a dated speech, and a pending release
This catch-up separates three document types and their dates. It does not treat a speech as a policy decision or a scheduled inflation release as a published result.

20 October: the ONS labour-market bulletin
The ONS October 2026 bulletin estimates a 75.3% UK employment rate for ages 16–64 and a 4.7% unemployment rate for ages 16 and over in June–August 2026. Early July–September vacancy estimates fell by 21,000 to 691,000 against April–June. Those measures cover different populations and periods; they are not a single October employment reading.
The ONS calls its September payroll figure an early estimate likely to be revised. Use its revision label before citing a month-to-month change. For a practical method, see the companion research exercise.
16 October: a Bank of England speech
The Bank of England published Catherine L. Mann's speech on financial innovation, dollar dominance, and UK monetary-policy implications on 16 October. A member's speech is a source for that member's analysis. It is not itself a Monetary Policy Committee rate decision, a final rule, or a Bitcoin price signal.
21 October: inflation was scheduled, not yet observed
At this edition's pre-release check, the ONS September 2026 consumer-price release page listed 07:00 London time on 21 October and said the release was not yet published. No September CPI or CPIH figure is asserted here. After publication, check the live bulletin, reference month, contributions, and any correction notice. The five-step reading checklist explains how.
What remains open
This is a 21 October catch-up, not a claim that NAKAMOTO published daily reports on 16–20 October. Separate dated editions for those days remain absent. Continue through Investing, Money Library, Trading Academy, and Bitcoin Start with the source dates intact.
