Map the audience before sharing wallet information

Decide who needs each piece of information and why.

Bitcoin transactions are public; an address does not guarantee anonymity. Bitcoin: protecting your privacy.

A worked example

In a fictional project, an accountant needs records for reconciliation, a colleague needs confirmation that an invoice was handled, and public readers need only a general example. A three-column table assigns different information to those audiences instead of sending everyone the same screenshot.

Original hypothetical example. Amounts, people, events, and scenarios above are invented for learning; they are not historical observations or forecasts.

What to take from it

A useful sharing decision starts with purpose and minimum necessary detail.

Try it on paper

List three audiences and the question each needs answered.

Keep the assumptions beside your answer. Check the result before applying the idea to a different situation.
