Separate backup availability from secrecy
Ask two different questions about the same backup.
Source foundation
Wallet security includes backups, access protection, and recovery planning. Bitcoin: securing your wallet.
A worked example
A paper risk table compares a backup that is easy to find but exposed to visitors with one that is private but impossible for its owner to locate. Neither row solves both problems. Add columns for authorized access, loss scenarios, and a date for reviewing the arrangement.
Original hypothetical example. Amounts, people, events, and scenarios above are invented for learning; they are not historical observations or forecasts.
What to take from it
Convenience and confidentiality need separate checks; one score can hide a weakness.
Try it on paper
List two failure scenarios without writing down any secret material.
Keep the assumptions beside your answer. Check the result before applying the idea to a different situation.
